The earliest records of this chapel date back to 1376, but the current building was constructed at the end of the 18th century. The chapel was built in the neoclassical style and its main lavish altar was made in Italy. It houses an interesting collection of ex-votos and miniature ships.

In the square beneath the centenary pine tree, during Lloret’s Feast Day (Saint Christina’s day on 24 July), the Fishermen’s Guild holds a lunch where a typical stew is served. There are also exceptional views over the coast.

It is one of the locals’ most loved areas, and it boasts spectacular views across the whole coastline of Lloret de Mar.

Over the centuries, the town’s devotion to Saint Christina led it to acquire three of the most important relics of the saint: the skull, a rib and a femur. The rib and the femur disappeared in the 1936 revolution, but the skull and a small bone — the relic that is carried in the maritime procession each year for the Saint Christina’s day celebrations — were preserved.
